I completely miss this ep when it was released on rvng intl. I only knew CFCF for a Games' remix and saw the name on other ones. Beautiful artwork (design by Kevin O'Neill of Will Work For Good) , beautiful music. Electronic with a lot of soul, cosmic energy and melancholy.

the alps: new song!!!

This is the cover from the new album by The Alps, Easy Action out in march through Mexican Summer. The Alps feature Alexis Georgeopolous (Arp), Jefre Cantu-Ledesma (Tarantel) and Scott Hewicker (Troll) for those of you who don't know them yet. tomutonttu: live

Some news from Tomutonttu, Jan Anderzén. Last year, he toured with Oneohtrix Point Never (D. Lopatin) and share a 7" with him on Alter. That doesn't necessary mean they share the same vision of "electronic" music, even though both of them are hihgly creative minds. Tomutonttu will be touring this year for my own satisfaction and for those who like weirdness. In addition to various shows in Europe, he will play in Paris at the Institut Finlandais the 16th of march for the opening of the Kutikuti exposition.

black to comm

Black to comm is the musical project of Marc Richter. Known for is own label Dekorder, host of bands and artists such as Our love will destroy the world, Richard Youngs, Xela, Uton, he is also a talented graphic designer. Most of his music is drone (based on loops) filled with darkness and perhaps nostalgia. His compositions are really absorbing.

sic alps: new videos!!!

Drag City has launched two new videos by Sic Alps for their forthcoming album Napa Asylum. Sic Alps from San Francisco is Mike Donovan, Matthew Hartman and now Noel Harmonson (who played with Comets of Fire). Their music is a great mix of psychedelic, noise and some kind of pop. I first discovered them few years ago through the Animal Disguise label (home of Mammal) who released "Pleasures & Treasures". Think about Syd Barrett, Velvet Underground but noisier and you'll almost get it.

Rainforest is a series of zines edited by RAWRAW in Italy. Each zine by bands who played in events named Rainforest in Rome. They look really great. You can buy them here. RAWRAW published also beautiful zines by various international artists.
