the ballad of genesis and lady jaye

This is a documentary directed by Marie Losier, a portrait of Genesis P-Orridge (Throbbing Gristle, Psychic TV) and his partner Lady Jaye. This is about the relation between them through their "pandrogyny" project and mostly a biography of P-Orridge. He talked about his influences, writers like William S.Burroughs, Bryon Gysin and musicians like The Velvet Underground, Syd Barrett, his relation to the art world and his childhood. This movie was part of an evening presented by Jean Pierre Turmel who is an old friend of Genesis P.Orridge and Sordide Sentimental's (records label) owner, who has released records by Psychic TV, Throbbing Gristle and also Joy Division.

She has released several tapes and lps on Hibernate, Aguirre... and published books on rawraw and kaugummi. Her works seem coming from dreams, infancy, experiences and landscapes she has been through and her music is mostly improvised.
